Different opening hours study centres and libraries

During the Christmas holidays and the weeks before the exams period, from 17 December 2011 until 2 February 2012, the libraries and study centres have different opening hours.

Are you looking for a place to archive your research data? Or a place where you can find data for your own research? If this is the case, there are a couple of possibilities:

New databases added to Wharton WRDS

Databases Audit Analytics, Risk Metrics and Compustat Execucomp available via Wharton WRDS.

Update Amadeus, Bankscope and Zephyr

Databases Amadeus, Bankscope and Zephyr get new interface to make searching and finding data easier and faster.

Oxford Handbooks Online

UvA has subscribed to the full text versions of the Oxford Handbooks in Business and Management, Philosophy, Political Science, and Religion.

Pierson Révész Library extends opening times

As of 4 January, the Pierson Révész Library will be open until 20.00 on weekdays, with the exception of Friday.

Self-service at UvA and HvA libraries

On 31 August, seven UvA libraries and four HvA media centres switched to self-service lending. With lending and returning machines visitors can borrow or return items without an employee.

New UvA-catalogue

The Library has a new catalogue. This is part of a new system the UBA uses since August 13th for acquisition, cataloguing and lending.

Two important statistical yearbooks now online

Global Development Finance 2007 and World Development Indicators 2008, both published by the World Bank, now available at the UvA as ebook.

Chipknip replaces the REC copycards

As from 7 January 2009 you can pay for copies by chipknip at the Pierson Révész Library.

ABS subscribes to WRDS database

In cooperation with the University Library, the ABS taken out a subscription to WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services).

Expanded access to Datastream

Access to the financial database Datastream for FEB and FMG staff and students has been expanded to include all Log-in PCs in the Pierson Révész Library
