How to find citations of journal articles

Finding citations of journal articles
1. Select Cited Ref Search in the top navigation bar.
2. Enter your search terms in one or more search windows.
Example:
You want to know who have cited R.C. Kloosterman, "Double Dutch: polarization trends in Amsterdam and Rotterdam after 1980." In: Regional Studies 30(5), p. 467-476, Aug. 1996.
- Cited author: kloosterman rc
Enter the author's last name followed by a space and the initials, or find these by means of the cited author index (magnifying glass after the author search key). - Cited work: reg stud
Cut and paste the journal title from thejournal abbreviations. It is important that the title is exact in every detail. Or use the abbreviations from the list. - Cited year: 1996
The year in which the article was published.
3. Click Search. A list is shown which allows you to select certain items. In this case, it is not relevant for it concerns the same article. Probably, citing authors made a mistake in the numbering of the pages. The system does not correct for author mistakes.
4. Click Select Page and and then Finish Search. This gives a llist of articles citing Kloosterman's article in descending chronological order.
Note: this method usually gives more hits than looking up the original article by means of Search and then clicking "view citing articles" at the full record of the source article.
