From 4 July – 4 September, libraries and study centres have different opening hours. From 11 July all are closed during the evening, except the University Library, which is open until 20 hrs. During the weekend only the University Library is open.

Move of Singel library collections to IWO till September
This summer the Singel collection will be moved to the IWO Book Depot in Amsterdam Zuidoost. The move has started on Monday 11 July and will be finished by the beginning of September.

Singel stacks move to IWO, please allow for longer delivery times
Do you need books or journals from the UB Singel closed stacks this summer? Please, allow for longer delivery periods. From June onwards the collections shelved in the Singel depots will be transferred to IWO, UB’s Bijlmermeer book depot.

From 12 July until 27 August, libraries and study centres will have shorter opening hours. In the evenings the University Library is open until 20 hours, but all other locations are closed. During the weekend, only the University Library will be open

Taking a break? For 20 minutes at most at PCs in UB and study centres
This summer a new procedure is introduced in the University Library and all study centres. Users of a computer can leave it for 20 minutes at most. After 20 minutes, you will be logged out, so that it becomes available to another user.

DigiZine UvA link shows work and products UB and IC
In the new digital magazine, the DigiZine UvA link, the University Library (UB) and the Central Computer Services (IC) will show their normal daily activities to staff and students by means of short films and texts with images and sound, as well as their innovative and special products.
